BEESWAX

SKIN YUM is made with double filtered honeycomb capping wax sourced from a local Apiary that supports clean bees. Beeswax is high in Vitamin A, which has been found to support cell health and reconstruction. The anti-inflammatory properties of beeswax encourages the healing of wounds. Beeswax is protective as it helps form a barrier between the skin and the toxins it has been exposed to without clogging the pores.

ORGANIC COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil has antibacterial, anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties, can improve muscle health and has natural sunblock abilities. It strengthens the skin, boosting elasticity enabling it to resist wrinkling and helps it recover faster from damage. The anti-inflammatory properties soothes redness and improves the skin’s appearance. The particular type of fatty acid in the oil can assist by reducing tension, and the antioxidants fight free radicals which help reduce the stress from environmental toxins.

ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

Extra Virgin Olive oil contains a substance called oleocanthal which has anti-inflammatory agents and acts in the same way as pain medication. It offers many health benefits as it contains essential vitamins and nutrients, and may support higher levels of serotonin playing a key role in maintaining mood balance. Being high in vitamins E and K, it protects from free-radical damage linked to aging, and supports brain health. OPTION 1

AVOCADO OIL

Avocado oil contains beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E. It moisturizes and protects your skin from UV rays, and increases collagen metabolism. Also containing linoleic acid, oleic acid and other mono-saturated fatty acids, this oil can speed up the healing of wounds.

HEMP SEED OIL

Hemp seed oil is an excellent source of magnesium. It also contains terpenes and antioxidants known to be anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic. The oil in the hemp seed absorbs into the inner layers of the skin promoting healthy cell growth, which is a recipe for soft, smooth skin. Hemp Seed oil naturally reduces inflammation and strengthens the immune system because of its balanced fatty acid profile of omega -3 fats and GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid).

BERGAMOT

Citrus, spice, with a high floral note - Bergamot Rind

One of the most unique citrus oils, Bergamot simultaneously produces a calming and uplifting aroma, making it ideal for soothing the soul. Like other citrus oils, it possesses significant cleansing properties and a pleasant aroma. Italians have used Bergamot for years to soothe dry skin. With antibiotic and antibacterial properties, Bergamot can inhibit the growth of bacteria and prevent future infection. It has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic compounds that can lessen nerve sensitivity, possibly acting as a natural painkiller. As a relaxant, and reducing levels of cortisol in the body, Bergamot can be a natural mood booster. Take care as it has been known to be sun sensitive.

CEDARWOOD

Herbaceous, camphoraceous, woody, sweet - Wood

Cedarwood emits a warm and woody aroma that inspires feelings of wellness and vitality, and is often used during massage to relax and soothe. It can be used as an antiseptic, defending against toxins and germs, relieving the white blood cells and immune system of extra stress. Studies have shown it to have anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties, and it has been shown to tighten loose muscles. Cedarwood oil acts as an astringent, protecting the skin from toxins and bacteria. It has fungicidal properties, and has also been known to keep away mosquitos, It has been used by some as a mild sedative due to its calming and soothing effects on the mind.

COPAIBA

Spicy, woody - Resin from Copaifera reticulata, officinalis, coriacea, and langsdorffii

Copaiba oil is widely used in cosmetic products and perfumes, and has a woody, spicy aroma. Not only has it been found to be one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories, but it also causes skin cells to produce beta-endorphin, one of the happiest hormones, and is one of the safest oils to use on the skin. Copaiba has neuroprotective properties which can help reduce pain and loosen muscles, and has been used as a wonderful analgesic for generations. It’s properties have been known to reduce acne, acne scars, blisters and the appearance of wrinkles.

EUCALYPTUS

Camphoraceous, airy - Leaf/Stem

The chemical structure of Eucalyptus makes it ideal for creating a soothing massage. Steam distilled from the leaves, Eucalyptus essential oil is enjoyed for its fresh, clean aroma. It has been known to boost respiratory health, protect skin health, eliminate inflammation and fight against bacterial infection.

FRANKINCENSE

Warm, spicy, clean - Resin from Boswellia carterii, frereana and sacra

Because of its chemical makeup, Frankincense oil holds significant renewing properties that give it a wide variety of uses. For centuries, Frankincense has been used for its beautifying characteristics, particularly for rejuvenating the appearance of skin and promoting feelings of relaxation. Frankincense has antimicrobial, antiseptic and astringent properties and may reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
